I think I figured out the problem. Apparently my firewall rules weren't
reloading correctly. I just rebooted the firewall altogether and right
now it seems to be working.
I discovered this when I fired up the old qmail server. When I would
telnet to my IP on the port, sometimes it would go to
www.ezmlm.org/pub/patches/qmail-bigrem.patch
The code and reason is there. You should check
with the ezmlm group.
