Hi all,
I have 2 linux servers web and e-mail. Both servers are on the same network
in the same domain.
Users on the Web server fill out a HTML form and this form using CGI is
being send (using postfix) out to the e-mail server (qmail).
It all seems to work just fine as long as the user is fro

Hello, how are you?
I'm a rookie in qmail, but I already installed it on my mailserver. What
I am trying to do is to get qmail works the same way as sendmail (using
/var/spool/mail/$USER file). The second thing I am trying to do is to
use /etc/aliases to execute a program to send a message to one

users to sign up for accounts and personalise their view of our site, during
the registration procedure the site sends the user their user name and
Hi,
So, who are the recipients and what's in your rcpthosts ?
Have you checked the selective relaying parts of the faq / life with qmail ?

It doesn't have anything to do with inetd or tcpserver. Check the file
/var/qmail/control/rcpthosts
and check out the FAQ about relaying

The FAQ seems to assume that I run qmail-smtpd under tcpserver. That's not
the case for me. And I really don't like to install a tcpserver if I don't
have to. Among all other things, changing boot script in RedHat is really
painful for me.
Is there any other solutions? Thanx.

I am using qmail1.03 as MTA on my RedHat Linux 6.0. The server seems to
work ok if I use pine as client. However, when I use Netscape mail, I
could not send mail out, it always complain "that domain isn't in my list

Hi,
My IPP runs qmail on linux w/ apache server.
I have a cgi program that sends a confirmation e-mail to a customer when
they complete an order and one to me.
Here's the problem, 2 e-mails get sent to the customer instead of only one.
I have searched for weeks on my own to find an answer for t
I have qmail 1.03 on a Sparc with Solaris 2.5.1. For various
reasons, we had to stick with mailboxes in /var/spool/mail, and use
the following as a qmail-start script:
exec env - PATH="/var/qmail/bin:$PATH" \
qmail-start \
'|preline -f /bin
Hello,
qmail won´t deliver to root. make a .qmail-root file in ~alias and within that
file put &user to deliver root´s mail to user.

Hi !
Since I reinstalled (upgraded) FreeBSD to 3.1 I can get mail for root. I
can send mail or get mail at any of addresses, but not as root.
Maillog log shows this error:

and relaying wherever they want. What is the best way to stop this action
from happening?
