I believe Silver is supposed to have antibiotic properties. I use a
silicone catheter called Duette, they claim it is less susceptible to
infections.

I've never tried them. In theory, it might help with uti's, but what does
the silver do to the lining of your bladder?

It simply because my bladder atrophied to the point where I would be in
A.D. almost every day because my bladder wasn't draining effectively. The
pain was terrible and my life had become a living hell.
If I could have kept the suprapubic, I would have.

I have been using an indwelling catheter for 16 years they want to to do a
SP. Is there any reason I should not have it done. I know you had a SP and
changed, can I ask why.

I haven't been able to respond much lately due to some problems that I will

Anyway, I face this problem last year and ultimately decided to do the

Any ideas?

My question is for those that have used a Foley catheter for many years.
I am 46 years post SCI and have used a catheter since day one. The
catheter has caused
erosion on the bladder and the urologist warns me that there may come a
time when the bladder can no longer support a catheter.
Bladders can be repairs, altered and replaced with uro-pouches.
Uro-science has grown in the years. Have your URO contact the SCI Assoc
regarding a
medical referral for information from leading doctors in North America.

Though Levaquin just kills my stomach. I can't take it anymore, I se to use
it all the time.

I take it helps considerably. I only take one pill a day though. I divide this pill and take one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It has diminished my bladder spasms considerably. The dry mouth is negligible using the quantities I take.Billy"Kenneth Q." [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

I take ditropan once a day and if I didn't, I'd have bad bladder spasms.
So, I definitely need to take it, but everyone is different. I didn't
take it for years and I was fine. But, lately I began having bad spasms.
