Please don't think of me as a bad person simply because I have paid
attention and observed so many things about spinal cord injury research and
breakthroughs and always have to question whether it is real or not. I
think it is a little bit of both.

I had mapping done 18 years ago & last summer. I think any dealer that

Why the do not do it? Because 90% cushions would show bad pressure

Hi Glenn,
I think Steve hit the nail on the head. I’ll add my two cents. I’m a para,

for pressure mapping it is a good tool to compare how you “map” (pressure) on
different cushions. If you are able to do
this, also ask to look at the “map” whi
Glenn,
I have had pressure mapping done several times when it was offered at no
cost or covered by my insurance, but I seriously question its value.
First, the mapping results are only applicable to the exact conditions when
the mapping occurred, including your relative position (front, back, lef
Hello,
Has anyone on the site been pressure mapped? If so do you think that it
helped in anyway?
With the price of some items coming out at a lower price, does anyone have
a unit that they purchase for home use?
Thanks

Other than pressure mapping has anyone ever used wedges, holes cut in foam
pad or a wood seat pan?
Interested in hearing your experiences.

CMS is getting tough on those who are not certified from performing Pressure

evaluation is certified.

You are right Steve, to a certain extent. Mapping senses both pressure and
heat and you may be tested over an hour or more to determine a base level,
with tolerances. The sensing pad is like a large checkerboard with a lot more
squares with sensors. Ask anyone who has been map'd if it tr

Surprisingly, here in Reno, we only have two medical suppliers. For an area
that has 300,000 people that seems to be somewhat low. The one company is very

Where'd you get the adhesive spray? I have a problem with my armrests being a
