Hi Russ,
Standard master cylinder. You need conversion brackets to fit the callipers and
also bigger discs with 15” wheels as well as different flexi pipes. They all
come in the XR2 kit From Hispec .

Here is a trick I learnt years ago.
Set the tyre pressures to what you think they might be and keep a note. Take
the car for a spirited 10 minute run. Recheck the pressure, if they have risen
by more than 2 psi, the pressures are too low. If they haven't risen, they are
too high. Repeat the

Hi Martin,
Not sure about the areas but the Cosworth calipers are certainly bigger than
the original XR2 ones were and worked ok. The Hispec 4 pots are smaller
diameter but spread over a larger pad area to give more even pressure.

Hi Darren,
That's an interesting MG conversion. Will your Escort parts be available or are
you keeping them? Just weighing up options at the moment. Burton also do a
floor mounted pedal box which would completely do away with all the Ford parts
but it's pricey.

Not sure what was in it before but yes, possibly dot 3. I did wonder about
switching to dot 5 but it seemed like a sensible approach when going to a
higher spec system.

I think the discount was set up many years ago and you had to speak to a

Pretty sure they were 36k or 3 years but the quality of the belts has improved
greatly since the 80s and 90s. However working on the basis that if the belt
snaps you will have valve damage it's best to do them regularly.

If you mean the sender for the low oil warning light, then no as its electrical
and basically just an on/off sender. An oil pressure gauge will come with its
own matched sender unless it's a mechanical one which will
Personally, I would rather have an oil pressure gauge than a vacuum one. It
means fitting a sandwich plate at the filter but that's simple enough.

Dash top if you don't want to move other things. In the radio slot if you can
move the radio to the centre console or put the gauges in the centre console

best option
