wings (almost touching the steel supports ) so if ET25 is correct I'll fit
some 13mm spacers, or look for some different wheels on the second hand
market.

Forgot to say this is a silver top, with the stubby oil filter sticking out
horizontally.

The evaporation makes sense, it sounds like it's running faster than normal, it
then recovers...

Twice now I've had my facet fuel pump make a funny noise restarting the engine;
when the car/ engine is hot. The pump does recover, it sounds like it's racing.

If i remember correctly, one of the members recommended scoring the glue and
pouring white spirit onto it and leaving it a good while, then repeat until it
comes away from the tub. I don’t know if it works as I had already pulled mine
off along with copious amounts of gelcoat...

The rattle could be from the alternator bearings. I had this and was sorted
with a fresh one. Its easy enough to tell when you spin it without the belt on.

Yes definitely. I've done the same. On the fiesta there must be a recess
on the frame between the upper and lower mounting points for the curve of
the rack.
It is in the build manual but I didnt check before hand.

Jim - when you say low lift do you mean low bite point? So the clutch plate is
the same on both, but the pressure plate & realese bearing are partnered. What
cars where fitted with the low lift?
Dave - what noticeable difference is the between the quadrant
the above of putting a
'spacer' in, but no change.
Anybody any ideas as to what would cause either a low bite point or the
fact that I can't select gears?

Sounds like the 'none replica' kit insurance values could be difficult soon.
From your experience it sounds like they don't know what to do with quantums.

Getting proper values on these cars is never going to be easy. Are

The motor doesn't sound like its struggling; even when the screen is dry it
operates at a good speed.
Since my first post I've noticed the passenger floor in front of the passenger
seat is very wet.
Cant think where this water came from! Will get my Son to spray water over my
car to
was like a river with stones in the central part of the road!

my build; should not use Ford torch settings, too tight!! but after 2,000 miles
they need tightening up already!

Someone has already done a 2+2 in bright orange. Has been at Stoneleigh a few
times over the last few years. Looks good, but you can see the joins. These are
quite difficult to hide due the 'one piece' nature of the quantum shell.

Matthew, yes my car is a later 1. I like the look & improved handling but yes
it rubbs with load in the boot or when suspension compressed.
I still have the old rear springs so going to cut them to the lenght of the xr2
springs. (Lowered rear springs now on car are 245mm, old are 325mm)
it but would invalidate any warranty. Got me thinking is it
an engine age thing, is the mounting casting different? Being a 2l cvh it
isn't exactly standard.

There must be limit switches in the circuit to stop the window either going
too far up or down. If the upper limit switch is sticking it would prevent
the window raising.

the bike carbs are no worse than standard injection for mpg even on a 2ltr.
