I found an issue with the minimal brightness (auto) setting in 7.5
beta. Indeed it cannot go as low as when using manual brightness. You
can easily see that when you go into minimal brightness and set it to
the minimum, then go out of that screen and go back in. The slider is
not at the

Squeezeboxserver, but I believe that setting was causing the problems.

I am still having the same problem with mine. I have stopped all scans
and it still seems to lose the connection every day or two. It is
always the same. The signal is shown as red. I try to reconnect and
that doesn't work. So I have to choose to look at other networks. My

The latest version of BBCiPlayer is 1.01 (0.3 is from mid 2009) so I
don't know where 0.3 came from.
The Plugins tab will get the latest version so there is something odd
in your setup.
You should not be downloading or installing BBCiPlayer manually.

What version of SBS are you using ?
What version of BBCiPlayer is installed ?
Normally you get the latest plugin - if a new version becomes
available, it will be put at the top of the Plugins page under heading
"Updated plugins available"

All works fine, mysqueezebox.com remote on PC works fine
BUT ... I can't get the Squeezebox Server to stream
my personal MP3 music to the SBR.
Now the Dutch manual isn't very clear on this topic
(something about a softsqueeze or so, guess

Seems to be a growing trend in SBRs with an identity crisis. You are
luckier than some, who seem to have other people controlling /
configuring their SBR.

Despite registering both my SBRadio and SB3, I can't see either player
on mysb.com. No favourites appear either, though when I installed the FB
and BBC apps, they flowed through to both Squeezeboxes.
Weird, not a major problem, but a problem all the same.

Hi there
All I did on the controller was to go to the Choose Player setting. It
listed my Duet and the Radio.
I just selected Radio and the controller works just fine.
When I want to control the Duet box I just chose the squeezebox
player.
I haven't tried controlling the player from the radio
I presume if the Controller was setup as a player then the Controller
can control the Radio and the Radio can control the Controller?!

your Receiver too... The "Select Player" item is hidden away in the Settings
menu though.

Santa gave me a Squuezebox Radio.
I LOVE the Squeezebox Radio -- but if you are frustrated by not being
able to get a Remote for it and you also have a Squeezebox DUET system -

You seem to have the opposite issue.
How dark minimal brightness goes depends on the light conditions. In a
bright room the slider has no _visual_ effect when going lower than the

That's a BBC issue, not a Radio one. Hunt out the station's URL, make a
favourite or a playlist of it and then associate it with a preset
button. That's what I've done with all my favourite BBC channels. Works
well. Pressing preset 4 fires up the Radio playing BBC radio 4.
