I had much the same
In the absence of any other alternative, the brute force method works,
even if it is not pretty. Every time the player controlled by the Radio
starts, the Radio reboots. After a few minutes, the clock screensaver
reappears on the Radio.
I'm as happy as I'm going to be, and I disabled the cron

Has your email address changed, or is the one in your profile still
correct?
Usually running latest beta LMS nightly on Raspberry Pi OS with virtual

An easier solution, and probably

1. Get a bluetooth receiver with analog output. Here's a link to an
inexpensive one -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W6J2KC6/ -- but better
ones are available at higher prices.
2. Connect the receiver's output to the input jack on the back of the
Radio.

Very interesting! Thanks for that reference.

I take it back! After a reboot of the LMS server, the Radio screensavers
are now working as expected.
Usuall
I installed the Community firmware on the Radio. I didn't expect it to
solve my odd and obscure problem, so I was not disappointed when it
didn't. I hoped there might be a chance that my issue had been part of
some larger and more significant issue, which had been fixed; but no.
I do not expect

Thanks. That's good to know.
So far, the bedroom bluetooth speaker (a Jam Symphony) is consistent. If

I hoped someone would have some ideas about my Radio's reluctant
screensaver, but it is such an obscure issue that I'm not surprised that
there's been no response. Maybe no one else has experienced this?
I am still trying to think of a way to automate a press of the Home
button on the Radio
I forgot to mention that the screensaver appears when it's supposed to,
if the Radio is set to control itself. It's only when it's controlling
another player that the Now Playing display never times out. It's
consistent with the Airplay speaker in the bedroom. It has happened when
controlling
I have a situation in which my Radio display never times out, so the
screensaver never appears.
Specifics:
The Radio was sold as a UE Smart Radio, but shortly after acquisition it
was UPgraded to Squeezebox Radio firmware. Still with firmware
7.7.3-r16676.
I rarely use the Radio as a player.

That seems likely, although I can't find anything on the WAMU web site
that even mentions an HD2

Can't help with the wifi problems, but this WAMU stream seems to lack
the annoying intro and should be playable on your

Hi, Phil. People are trying to help you. Not because it's their job;
it's not. They are just trying to help, because they enjoy their
Squeezebox radios and want others to enjoy them too. If you

LMS is Logitech Media Server, an application that you would have to run
on a computer on your local network. The computer could be an old,
low-powered one, or even a single board computer -- a Raspberry

True, and that certainly could have helped to clarify the issue, if we
were all reading closely. I overlooked that part.

This is a very minor point, but a Local Area Network includes devices
connected by ethernet AND wifi. There's nothing wrong
