Checked the Spanniga Plateo rear light on my morning commute that starts in
the dark. The light definitely turns on automatically on the Senso mode as
soon as you move the bike and then stays lighted for around 30 seconds or so
once you've stopped. I didn't time it, so it's just a guess. I'll time
The 2011 arrival of the Grant Peterson Designed Soma San Marcos has me thinking
a bit about a new bike and a build plan. I mostly have Campagnolo components
that I'd like to re-use to build up the San Marcos frame. I was thinking that
it would be nice to use vintage Campagnolo or Modolo Brake
Calipers, not levers.
I was thinking of using vintage normal reach calipers in the place of the
newer long-reach 55mm ones.
How and why I typed levers twice below is a mystery to me.
Thanks,
Sean

Hi Rene. In regards to the Edelux sensor mode, do you have the light
mounted under a rack and bag? I recall mine doing something similar on
my distance bike, when I have it set up with a large front bag.

Nope. I have it on the front of the Nitto Mini rack and the small TurnkSack
is behind it. I just posted some photos on a new thread that you can look

As far as I can tell, there is no interference with the light. BTW, where is
the sensor located?

Hello Adam
I have one I just taken off my Trek,
The rubber coating is worn off the hooks and has not been too nice to my seat

Trade? SURE...

You guys probably know this already, but they sell that rubber coating
stuff at the hardware store to re-coat the handles of hand tools. It
would probably be perfect to dip the hoop in and give it a second life
(and possibly double up on in the problematic spots).

That sounds like it might help... but maybe not, by itself.
Some of the problems of mounting have to do with (1) the diameter of
the curves which snug around the stays; no matter how much coating
there is, you have to really careful to avoid the rigid metal pushing

Great looking bike. The medium Sackville looks as large a bag as I'd

Update - I no longer recommend the dyno tail light with the Supernova

I'm building up a new frame and have been wondering about this

it wasn't a problem, that leaving the cables bare against the bottom

Then my friend sent me this:
Yes, yes, works just fine, but does do that. It's all about what you can live
