Glad to hear everyone is ok.

When I was in high school, back in the 80's we had a teacher who took a
couple of us ice fishing in the winter.
We did it two years in a row with Mr. Cruise, and I will never forget the
selflessness of that teacher taking us o

I am sure Riv can fix you up real quick with those.
Hope you can get it done quick.

I guess we'll call it Tour de Waimanalo and it was certainly more a tour
than the BORAF in that I went, I rode around, and I rode back, camping
while there and never raced (well running downhill with a loaded bike can
be kind of fun).
I left on Friday morning and after 25 miles into the wind, repl
Give it more time and more miles. My Pearl Ti took 4-500 miles to start
really getting good, and with over 600 it's still improving.

Thanks for the link. I haven't laughed that hard in a LONG time!

The musings here about Bikeworks are encouraging me to get acquainted
with them. I think I stopped in the shop 10+ years ago, but don't
recall much from that time. I'm in a different borough, but I have
relatives in that neighborhood, so it'll be easy.
If a NYC has a "BOBish" shop I'd bet it'd b

Thanks for all your input on this. Still trying to figure out what to do. What
are the general differences between powder coating and painting? durability and
longevity? matte finish versus glossy or clearcoat? can I paint the lugs if I
powder coat? I'm new at this so any info is very helpful!
When is "later" going to be? I still haven't done that route and want to.

Hi David,
Yeah, Old San Pedro Mountain Road is more historic and a better name.
It was great! I was on my Hillborne with the usual commute fenders,

Ok, I know it's probably off-topic so I'll keep it short. Thanks to this
list and to RBW for daily reading material, motivation and reminders, that
kept me from going crazy this summer. Rode yesterday, on my beautiful
orange Rambouillet, for first time in three months. Here's the short story:

I own 2 sets of the new Nitto/Riv Bullmoose, and with the extra sweep and
width I think the new ones are the bee's knees.
BUT.. I do also have a few sets of the older type, and while (as Jeremy
said) they do vary in shape, width, sweep and rise, I think alot depends on
the bike as to how well
Thanks Reid, yeah it all comes with the bike. Well, I think I'm actually
keeping one of the king cages, so everything except that.
