In the next couple days I'm putting an order in for some Alba bars and tallux stem for my Clem. My 59cm Clem has the stock bosco bull moose and I'm looking for group input on what length stem to buy. As we know the bosco bullmoose has a 12cm extension and I'm just wondering how that should tra

Can confirm, the 3" tires are amazing for off-road riding! I have the Bontrager 'Chupacabra' and they're fantastic for everything, from washboarded gravel to decently technical mountain biking (the bike is great, I'm OK ;) Riding the 3" tires on severely washboarded gravel in the summer feels

Have you considered the Furious Fred? It's made in 26" and 29er and is supposed to be extremely fast rolling. I've heard that Schwalbe's warnings of fragility from being a racing tire are overstated and they're actually OK on durability. http://www.schwalbe.com/en/offroad-reader/furious-fred.ht

My sense of things exactly, though of course rider + bike weight will very much affect the judgment. Personally, I am delighted at how well the ~28 mm Compass Elk Pass ELs perform on our acquia roads, as long as the very silty surfaces are somewhat packed down, as ithey tend to be in cold weather.
