Wow, that bombadil is beautiful!
I will be watching this thread as I’ve liquidated some things to get the
cash necessary to buy an Appaloosa next month, and am always interested in
being further talked into something I’ve already decided.

albatross bars and will give them a shot.

Jason, you had a Clem, correct? How does the Bombadil compare to that? I've
never ridden a Bombadil, but compared to my Clem H (59), my Appaloosa (62

compared their weight. In my mind the Clem always felt like it belongs

I know, it was just funny to me when I got the stem and went through the
whole process of holding the bar in place while I busied myself with

When I spoke to Vince a few months ago he told me that the 52 Clem was
something like 7-8cm longer than the 50cm Platypus. If the stock 52 Clem
comes with a 10cm stem, in my mind that means go as long as on the stem as
you can with any of the sweptback bars on the Platypus. Just for reference:

Hi Kate,
I’ve had Albatross bars on my original Riv, a Betty with a 10 cm stem. With
those bars, I wanted to sit up and hold the ends of the bars with my fingertips

That kickstand looks great! Mine is all black and tarnished. Want to hear
an odd one? My Pletscher 2-leg kickstand (like Phillip's pictured)
