Actually you can get an NE2K card/clone running with Red Hat 5 right out of the box. I have two isa ethernet cards in my system, one is a 3Com Etherlink II (3C503), and one is a NE2K clone. I am not using the 3Com card at the moment. This is contents of my /etc/conf.modules file: alias cdrom mcd
