Yes, so sorry. It was a problem with .htacces: They were the first
images I've created with GIMP and I just assumed that somthing was wrong
with the images themselves.

Hi all,
I cannot seem to get GIMP 1.3.17 to 'see' my sharefont/freefont
packages. They show up fine in 'chkfontpath' but when I run GIMP I only
have about 25 fonts available.
I don't know how else to check if X is getting them but chkfontpath
seems to indicate that the

Linux. I did find some articles about it awhile back, so I installed
the fonts and was able to get them working, sort of. That is, I can see
them just fine in OpenOffice and a few other apps, but The GIMP doesn't
seem to know they're there. At first, I just accepted that The GI
e we don't have the same fonts in OpenOffice and the Gimp.
So, ma second question will be, why don't we share the same fonts through all
the applications?
I am using RH 9.0 and the Gimp 1.2.3.

thumbnails and html so that you can put it up on a webpage as a gallery. is
there a similar script for the gimp?

Ever since I installed Redhat 6.1 I have not been able to get xscanimage for
sane to come up in my gimp menu.
All I had to do before was put my xscanimage.rc in my gimp plugins
directory and I could aquire images directly into gimp via xscanimage.

whenever I try to run Gimp from X, nothing happens. What could it be? Also,
when I run other programs, such as communicator, they complain about the
color depth, suggesting the "visual" parameter - that I couldn't use. Any
help is appreciated. I'm using RH5.1.

Not sure who to tell, but 1.0 of gimp's tip of the day says "The GIMP
supports gzip compression of the fly...if you habe bzip2 installed)"
Of course it should be have, not habe (unless you're German, but then it's
