I am trying to get ICQ chat to work through two masquerading firewalls. I
guess I need some auto-/portforwarding rules, but I am not sure of the ports.
Usual ICQ works fine through 2 masquearading firewalls, and even ICQ chat
works as long as there is only one

i use everybuddy (www.everybuddy.com). i don't know about the other
programs, but everybuddy lets you chat regardless of whether the other
person uses aim, icq, msn or yahoo.

icq is because I use it to keep up with about 5 of my close friends, who
all have it too. Micq does what I need it to do. (only messages really) And

Yep, Mirabilis do one for Linux. http://www.mirabilis.com. You will need
to get the java development kit, there is a link from the Mirabilis page

Unfortunately RedHat 5.0 doesn't come with jdk. I belive you can get it
from hitting ICQ's page and following the links for ICQJava.

This may be pushing it a bit... But has anyone successfully installed ICQ
for Java? I use ICQ all the time in WinBloze... But I'm trying to not have
to use it. ICQ is one of the last things I need to transfer over. I
thought I successfully installed ICQ, and the jdk.. But appar
$HOME/ICQJava:/usr/local/jdk/jdk1.1.1:$PATH
then in your home dir with ICQJava_Preview.tar.gz
tar zvxf ICQJava_Preview.tar.gz
cd ICQJava
edit the install file as follows
JAVA_HOME="/usr/local/jdk/jdk1.1.1"
save and exit
then just ./install to install ICQ
connect to the internet, s

Houston M571 motherboard. qt-1.32 jdk1.1.4v1.2 ICQJava_preview Redhat 4.2
I got the qt installed for jdk, then jdk went fine. ICQ seemd to install
fine aswell but I keep getting an error when trying to run it.
