Hello
I installed 5.1 the other night and set up ppp using netcfg. Had
to bring the connection up and down a few times as I figured out the
proper script to be using. The problem is, after the last time I
'deactivate'd the connection in netcfg I have not been able to get it
going again.
Do you have NCURSES installed?
That was always the problem for me when i received that error.

I take it you did "cd /usr/src/linux" before "make menuconfig"? (don't
mean to be patronising, if you knew that already).

If your are trying to make a new kernel you need to be in the kernel
source directory, try "cd /usr/src/linux" and read the README, it will
explain all you need to do to successfully make a new kernel. After

Yes, I think your getting ahead of yourself. The reason you can't configure
this is because the KERNEL is not seeing the device. I have responded with
two e-mails under your previous posting "Re: Thanks for your help on redhat
ppp mailing list ".
I am currently using two of these cards, so I a
Hello everybody!
I have 2x RH4.2 systems. One is a router for our net.
Now I want (MUST) to link other RH4.2 system to the router. So I have
to make a server and a client for ppp.
I don't use a modem (only a serial cable). I read in ppp documentation
that it is possible.
I installed ppp modules.

Ok, this URL explains the NE2000 compatible network cards, and what you will
have to do get them to work. Again, the Linksys EtherPCI Lan II Cards contain
the winbond chip in them, So this definately applies to our cards.

Hi
Could somebody help me with a great problem with apache 1.2.6
I tried to implement SSL on my RH Linux PPP server (2.0.32), so I updated my
apache 1.2.5 to 1.2.6. But right after that, I got a big problem, which I
don't know to solve.
The problem is that all sites work, exept sits on my server
first, a mild rebuke: please include a subject line with your messages.
Like many others, I get a lot of mail, and I generally ignore posts with
subject lines I'm not interested in, or posts with no subject at all.
But on to the important stuff.
