Why would you do that? That doesn't make any sense.

To do networking, I changed 127.0.0.1 to 0.0.0.0 would that make
any difference?

Or (as I suggested earlier) if you really want to pitch-shift on the fly
within the playout engine, then write so
Good Timing!
So I ran some further tests on my experience with this:
On a machine running Debian Wheezy 64-bit (fully updated) I get this
with the Tryphon 2.10-1 binary package:
1) Macros do not run from buttons, audio files do.
2) Using RMLSEND, I found the "EX " does not work, but

Guess that's that. Good to have a definitive answer. Big props to all who worked on this project.

Two iHeartMedia stations in my market -- do -- use the feature in NexGen.

I do know that Nextgen, and some of the other systems do have a music
pitch...it mimics the old Turntable speedup, and generally think the
idea is "seriously outdated"
I also know for a fact that CC, and the other major groups dis-allow use
of the speed up feature, even though it's there.

This is
yes, you can do that for sure, but that's alot of work, just need a button
to press to do it automatically.
Can't someone please design a automation systems that will just program my
stations for me with one click so I can go home?
Cheers

Kids !
A few more years and.. but I digress..
It's a simple pipe through SOX.
Doing the pitch up ( or down ) is trivial.
The GUI is more work than anything.
Greetings,
I have been around a long time in this radio business, 45 plus years.
This whole thing started by trying to squeeze more time into a hour, more
music, play the same number of songs as the other guy and have room for one
more spot, etc, etc, etc.
This can be done by enforcing length.

He's asking for a feature change to allow the on-the fly pitching of the
music on a per-category or per-cut basis. This is much easier to do on
the fly than modify the whole library and have to re-encode if the
competitive situation changes or they decide an increase or decrease in
the amount
Hi,
The only feature that I know of in Rivendell is the time stretch as
supported on the ASI cards.
If you really wanted to do a speed / pitch change, then I would think
the best place to do that would be in a production studio prior to audio
import (and while I am not one to want to do something
I am still wishing to pitch shift speed
the music, leave ids and spots. This
should be a feature implemented in
RDLibrary. Running a Top 40 station,
it is almost a must have in my market
as the other pop stations speed their
music up. I had emailed Fred directly
with no response, so hopefu
