I have some carts that go over one hour. Nothing more than about 1:07.
The timed event at the top of the hour, being in the same log
as the long cart, just plays after the long cart is done.. unless
some later hard timed event has also subsequently become due.
If that is the case then it skips t

bs1770gain says they are not valid input.

I was successful in downloading and installing bs1770gain.
(We are using the Rivendell Appliance...)
And I was able to write a little Perl script which
looks at the cuts from my "New" group and runs bs1770gain
against them, and puts the play_gain back into the database.

When I run RDImport I see "Normalization level = -13 dB"
But when I actually listen to the tracks they are all over the place.

I would investigate running stty on bootup.
You can set up the tty parameters, then save them in a string
and jam that string into the tty on boot.
I have another application around here where I am using that.
