You can set you own timeout when you create/edit the entry.

Servers Alive can only timeout IF the API calls that are being used (API calls
that are part of the operating system) offer a timeout option. And
unfortunatly they don't all do that :-(

There were no down entries reported. Servers Alive simply stopped responding.
I was able to determine it was a specific server being monitored that caused
the problem (by watching Servers Alive run though a cycle, and paying attention
to where it stopped). This offending server was partial
I suppose that you had down entries?
If so what did they give as reason for the down?

And what does SA give as reason for the down?
The archive site no longer has the listservers-archive :-( The original
machine hosting it died and the backup device too, meanning that we can't even
try to restore the backup (in the hopes that the backup itself is still OK)

We are running a SA NT process check against a third party NT process on an XP
box. SA more often than not reports that the process is not running. If we
check the process, it is up.
Is there a thread about best practices for checking NT processes? Also, I
