Hi Dirk,
I've reinstalled the client, regsvr32 still won;t register the dll and
servers alive is still unable to use the oracle 8 libraries to connect to

Do you have any other suggestions?

So would i remove and reinstall servers alive into the Oracle 8 directory?
Would the top level directory be OK, or would i need to install into the
ORACLE_HOME/bin directory?

All,
I've just had to rebuild the machine I'm running servers alive on, and
before i did i copied my hostfile. Anyway, I've now rebuilt the box,
reinstalled servers alive, but i can't import my hostfile.
I'm getting 'Datafile doesn't have the right structure, will only load
first good part of it'
yeah, got it working now, rookie mistake, i should have known better ;-)

it might be due to the fact that a security cert pops up when you load the
page. Could that be stopping Servers Alive from actually getting the source
code from the page??

i usually just click, edit, view source and pick something from there that
i know will only be displayed if the page is available, e.g the page title
or something.

daft question, but does server Y assume the ip of Server x when failover
occurs??
If not you could ping by ip rather than hostname.

We've tried a registry change which should stop the Dr Watsons popping up
but this doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. How would i monitor the
occurrence of Dr Watsons on the server?
Thanks

Hi,
I could really use some help with a serious problem we're having monitoring
NT services and Processes via servers alive.
We are monitoring the service and the process for Oracle Forms and Reports
servers. Unfortunately these processes have been Dr watson'ing quite a lot
recently. The problem r
Dirk,
When performing Oracle Checks will Servers alive allow the use of Oracle
Names or do you have to use local naming, e.g TNSNAMES.ORA?
I've changed the network config to use oracle names and i can connect to my
systems from sql plus, but servers alive is showing the entries as down.
Thank
Dirk,
I just bought the upgrade licence from v3.3 to v4 enterprise.
The previous licence was registered to someone who no longer works here.
The new licence information has my email address in it but still has the
name of Sharon Wallace.
Is there any chance of getting the product registered to me
Dirk,
I'm running 3.3 at th emoment, but it's registered to someone who has now
moved on. I was hoping to upgrade to 4, but have it registered to me. Is
that possible???

Hi All,
I've been having a problem with the SA Web add on for servers alive. I have
noticed that sometimes when this is being used the machine seems to hangs
