(Samba version, cups ???, logs), so it's difficult to help you.
a) The "paused" printers may be paused by cups, if an error occurs.
If you're using cups, then check the logs and try to change the "error
policy" of your print queue.

If you want to hide a folder (or file), in share section use the entry like
veto files = /folder_name/ /second_folder_name/ /lost+found /aquota.group/
Read the manpage of the smb.conf about this entry!

omega300 is the samba server, running samaba 3.0.23.c on SCO Openserver 5.0.7.
omg180 is a Windows NT4 SP4 box.

a single ldap entry.
The problem is synchronize the password fields of Samba and Qmail. When a
user change his Samba password (via Windows), the field userPassword of

You can do read up on the command find. It has some options to
look for files that were last modified n*24 hours ago for example.
Coupling this with its -exec parameter will allow you to do operations
on the files it finds.

i am in desperate need for some help, i am having problems with students
logging in at this school, continually trying / rebooting usually sorts
the problem.
also doing a nbtstat -R and will also allow students to logon most of

Like I said, Microsoft "fixed" an identical sounding problem in support
article 823291. This fix was added to XP SP2. Hint: This code change
wasn't added to Windows 2000.
So based on the evidence at hand, the problem seems to have been caused
by Microsoft.
