Hi
Just wanted to know if anyone in this group has appeared for the
SAGE certification.
Does anyone know if it is a good certification to have (job wise/in
general)?
Thanks
amit
Funny. You mention TWO you must pass, but the experience is to get by
only one of them.
The Cert is to get pass the other TO that interview. You don't get pass
the first, it really doesn't matter how great you would be at something
you never get to do.
You have to do/have BOTH.

While certifications are helpful
and you'll do
fine in your next interview.
As far as resumes go...spelling counts BIG. Run your
spell checker over your resume before sending it to an
employer.
That's my 2 cents.

up by working in companies in crisis. These companies didn't care about the
legit learning, they wanted somebody that could fix the problems. Now, I
work in Information Security. I still have no degree and no certifications.
I feel I have been blessed. But it has cost a lot

Oh, believe me, I prefer someone who has years of hands on experience and no

When scheduling the interview, request that the person bring with them
documentation of their certifications. For those who lost their
documentation, request that they get another copy from the certifying
organization and to send it as a follow up after th interview.

I would recommend stating in your adds, or to them on the phone, that they
need to provide their certification number(s) along with their resume. Most
companies offer ways to verify certifications. Even if you don't take the
time to call each company about their cert, I am sure that asking
IMHO, you can ask to everyone to send their's certifications (xerox)
along with respectives resumès. BTW, you can block very good people
whose are not certified at all, but since you never will know this, it
will not botter you, will it?? ;-)
