Here is a picture of how to connect a multimeter into the CS making
circuit. With that sort of voltage, Be Care Full. Switch off before
touching anything. Standby and be prepared to switch off in a hurry in
case you get connections wrong.

Please, you do not need to use KCl, it covers up the readings that will tell
you what you are making. The milky color is silver chloride and it is useless
as far as the body is concerned. You do not need any starters to make CS.
Your initial reading without KCl should be 0.2 to 0.5
