Thanks for the info on cs as a preservative. I am considering using it in a wound cream I make. These need preserving for shelf life, and after opening, as water and oil emulsions are bad for fungal and mould growth. The cs might do the trick, and it would enhance the properties of the wound

When I buy my fresh vegetables, I wash them, spray them with CS and put them into plastic bags in the veggie drawers - the produce lasts much longer, especially the lettuce and tomatoes, when I buy the latter if they are not completely ripe I wash them, spray them and then put them to sit stalk

I have make my own creams. There is too much oil and wax and for CS to be an effective preservative, just like it is not effective in gels, and in my experience CS is ineffective in heavy whipping cream. I have read that GSE is a good preservative for homemade creams and lotions, and there
