I don’t know if it’s worth trying (and if it’s possible and how) to
modify those intervals in sipx. But as a workaround you can set requested
time to 300 sec. in the UA, which looks to be a min. registration period in
sipx.
(Not discussing that you would better use different, standard conforming
As part of migration from a legacy pbx to sipX (at least I hope) I need
to do the following:
1) Map a large number of short codes to external numbers ie 6600 -
041234567
2) Do the reverse for caller-id on incoming calls i.e map 041234567-6600
Unfortunately there is no pattern to the transform
I've done something similar for a customer for DID purposes.
Used a spreadsheet to create an import file and created what i call phantom

User Alias Forward Rule

DID1235 1235
I only have one with 3 sidecars and they are still running 3.4 sipX/pingtel pbx
software and I haven't dared upgrade them with all of the problems that 3.6

this is only for phones that the pbx can generate a configuration file for.

Stephan,
Saying configure a phone manually I meant configure a phone via its own
keypad, or its own webinterface
The main point is (as Mike noticed) that, for _some_ phones, that are in the
dropdown list, sipx can generate a configuration file, which could be
downloaded by the phone during

I realized that I should send this info to sipx-users, as it is relevant
to people who are using the unstable, development versions of sipX,
even if they aren't involved in development.
I've added a section to sipx-snapshot to record information which is
useful for detecting deadlocks. Deadlock

Hi!
I'm thinking of installing sipX components on my PowerPC machine (mac
mini) using Debian Lenny, but I'm not really keen in installing Java.
I read that it is possible to run sipX without sipXconfig, but how can

Hallo,
after running all Configuration Diagnostic Tests I got the
error DHCP (Option 120) Test No SIP servers supplied.
After enabling the option in windows 2008 DHCP-Server I got
the error Unknown test result: 1.
The standalone programm preflight never stops DHCP Server Test.

Basically I need three things:
1) We have a legacy pbx. During migration I want people that are moved onto
sipx to still be able to dial 4 digit extentions for people on the legacy
pbx. So they should be able to dial a 4 digit extension and sipx will map
this to an external number i.e.
How the legacy PBX is supposed to reach the users moved onto sipX?
How the calls from the legacy PBX will hit the sipX box?
If all the moved users have DID numbers, you just need to add an alias for
each one. If not, maybe setup an auto-attendant on the sipX asking for the
extension number.

Hello,
You do not need a password. Having a user name does not mean you HAVE
to also have a password. Leave that field blank in your ITSP screen.
However, user name is mandatory for the account because all ITSPs
