Everyone,
Thanks for all your suggestions. Enabling voicemail, leaving and
deleting a message on the affected line didn't work. I had to switch to
another line, leave and delete a message to clear it. I then switched back
to the original shared line and there have been no further issues so f
what if you call and leave a message into the mailbox and then delete the
message?

i have seen issues with doing updates on sipx in the past with 4.2 and 4.4
where the MWI light stayed on after the update. Normally going to the box
and leaving a VM and then deleteing it triggered it off, but these were
lines that had no voicemail enabled, making for a lot of work.
it would be go
Folder is empty. I will try adding my line to that button to see if it will
reset, then add the shared line back.
Thanks,
Jes

Another thing you could try is to remove the shared line from that phone,
add another different test line *IN THE SAME POSITION AS THE SHARED LINE *to
that phone, with voicemail enabled, then leave a voicemail on the test line
and delete the voicemail on the test line, then after the light goes off
All,
I downgraded the suspect phone to 3.2.4. Left a test messages and then
deleted it. The MWI activated and then cleared on others phones, however,
the red light and envelope still appear on on the phone with the issues.
I guess the next step is to disable shared line and see if that causes it
Josh,
Thank you for your reply. I did try enabling the voicemail, leave a
message and delete it. The other phones receive MWI and it cleared when I
deleted it, however, the suspect phone still is blink red. I will try
downgrading the firmware to 3.2.4 and will report back.
Thanks,
Jes
On Mon,
First of all firmware 3.2.5 has some strange issues. Move back to 3.2.4
The only way to get voicemail to disappear off of a stuck MWI like that is
to reenable voicemail for the account, leave a voicemail, delete the
voicemail, and then disable voicemail permissions and remove voicemail

All, I apologize if this has come up before and I missed it. I just switch
the last component of our office (our Helpdesk number) to SipX. This is
configured as a shared line using button 1 on the primary 650 desk, and then
button two on all of our IT staff phones. These are an array of an addition
