i reached the molson ampitheatre with my cousin cathy at about 9 am and met
up with lisa. already waiting in line were the haligonians and d'arcy, so we
joined them. it was raining

- sloan: all i have to say is that it was too short!! also, when they
finished playing, i was left with a feeling of that's it!? -- it seemed
like a very unceremonious way to end 'sloan'. since i was in the seats, i
couldn't make out many facial expressions, so i don't

well, since the nxne festival is taking place, i decided to catch a show.
last night, the super friendz were playing at rivoli, so i decided to catch
'em out. they went on at 10 pm, but i caught jughead who were on right
before 'em.

on, then turn on the radio only to hear underwhelmed starting at the exact
moment you turn it on... yipe :) (now i'm partially deaf cuz i pumped up
the volume really loud.. *oops*)

since i've had the cd for close to a week now, this is my feeble attempt at
reviewing Thrush Hermit's _the Great Pacific Ocean_, available now through
that crazy record company ;) murderecords. i don't know how to review
albums, since i don't know any rawk musical terms...anyway, here it
grrr
well, i'm back from the concert, and i'm not a happy camper. grrr...
here's my concert review no more all-ages-when-there's-a-19+ gigs for
me... grr..
before 7 p.m.: PlumTree comes on. they were good. couldn't hear vocals
though...the rest of the instruments were LOUD. the
(sizzle teen is still trying to redeem herself ;) )
looked in today's _toronto star_'s entertainment section. and low and
behold, thrush hermit will be playing at the rivoli with plumtree this
friday. there will be two shows -- one at 7pm (all ages), and one at 10pm
(19+). tickets cost $6,
all right netters, i'm sure that you're sick of me, BUT... i thought that
i'd relay some of the things that criss and jay said on cfny (please
correct me if i get any facts wrong -- i listened to it on the way to the
concert).
- no video for 'i hate my generation' is in the works, but they
alright, so two people (shawn's review came in while i was writing this)
beat me to the concert review. BUT, it was my *first* sloan concert, so i
still want to say my $0.02 :)
the first opening act was _the local rabbits_ from montreal with their
own brand of rockin' blues. their attire
