As for using cookies for authentication, this is the wrong thing(tm).
You may want to consider switching to mod_perl, so you can use something
like Apache::Session, which will let you use cookies to select sessions,
which can contain your authentication

Copy directly from once CD to another CD

script fails. The package is not important it was suggested originally
as a useful adjunct to the lwm window manager. I can't configure it
with dpkg --configure because of the script

I certainly don't have a problem with RAM (128MB) or swap space (256MB),

occurs. It *could* be checking to see if its already running, then,

Yup. Happens to me too. SuSE 7.0 and SO 5.2.

I have found when this happens its generally because of zombie soffice processes.
Do a ps ax |grep staroffice (or even just a ps ax) to see
if there are then killall -9 staroffice

only fix (apart from a reboot) is to kill the x-server
and re-start it.
