Besides going down the path for a N x 400mA of linear regulator for the
first 5% from fresh charged and suffer 5.5 to 5.7V for the remaining

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to give you a heads-up on a new toy that Tom Copp has in his
inventory at F3X.com. I just took delivery on a Pike Plus Lite. I was a
little surprised when Tom told me the Samba company was building me a Pike
Plus lite, and if I didn't want it , I didn't have to buy it. OK.
I mentioned to Lenny Keer that I was using Night-Ops on my Dragonfly and it
was a bit on the heavy side with the amp, 9v battery and 3 lights strips
(standard night-ops stuff). He said that a lot of the electric guys were
running the E-L amp off the battery pack. Sometimes a fresh charged 8-cell

Depends on your visual acuity, wingspan, orientation and sky conditions. "YMMV".

Robert,
Check the voltage of the pack. If I remember correctly, 4 cells fro
mthe 9v pack only come to like 4.6 v or something! Under load this could
easially drop to <4v. Add in wire resistance and other load and you can see
servos drop off.
It is great that people are using 3 cell pack

I think there are two basic ways - either a central pylon with outriggers
that support the gliders wings, or more common, a parallell bar system, with
rear (or front) stop
