Hi Dennis,
I flew the Warp V for round 4 and 5. Only reason I even flew it was I was having
linkage problems with the T-Tail version, and
virtually no set-up time on either. My V walked so badly in distance (due to no set-up
time) it cost me some laps. (Well, that and
some stupidity.) So, back

That may be true for the Optima Red, but the yellow is for deep cycle.
The thing I like most about the Optima is the totally sealed case that won't leak.

Hi there,
I was going to put my balsa skins on my foam core's. I went to the
hobby store to get some oderless one hour epoxy. I was talking with several
guys about this. They told me that I should use 3m super 77 spray, instead of
epoxy. Is this a good choice or not. Does the 3m super 77 w
My father helped a guy build one with ailerons. The center section had
dihedral and the outer panels curved down so that the tops were level.
Ailerons were made up from the "overhang" part of the outer wing panels.
Similar look to a Habicht. He said it flew great, I am thinking about
building on

I used to work in an area of my compnay that required me to purchase

The best value for the money is the Trojan golf cart battery, it comes in

I have to agree with you on that. If you want to see FAI events grow in the
USA then we need to hold more club level contests. I agree that the AMA TD

Steve,
You're right, but don't have clinic's. It just takes CD's that run the tasks.
If they do, they will find that it can be done without any more help than the
pilots can provide. It's just like running any other event.
Certainly!

I don't necessarily find RC cars easier. The last time my son let me drive his RC
car, I found it heading for the curb at high
speed, so I pulled back stick ... now he won't let me drive his car any more ...

Bill,
Honest, this is just a straight reply!
If that were the case then pilots, CD's or clubs would do the same thing that
the have done to the AMA rules and drop the distance and speed tasks from the
event they run, go to or promote.
Look in the book, can you see where it reads:

Why not run (it's probably been done, cuz I thought of it) a series of

I like the way the CASL runs the Southwest Classic. There, everybody

classes fly together and at the end of the contest, trophies are awarded to
the top flyers in the various classes. Last year, the same model won

Here's an extreme (very unlike me to take the extreme view).

parts of soaring from the rules and replace them with the FAI events. If

Klaus's comments below reminds me to once again, thank
everyone who posts building/flying articles on the

information available today on the web has made it to
where every plane I built flew, and flew well, with
minimal servo/trim adjustments. Someo
