[RCSE] F5J Contest (Electric Sailplane) - Houston, TX.

2003-08-25 Thread Brett Waltz
Hi, The Houston Hawks are looking to schedule a F5J contest in Houston early next year. We are looking at either first weekend of March or April. We want to be sure we do not conflict with any other type contests around that time. The format will be standard F5J classes and rules, to resemble

[RCSE] Phoenix - from the ashes

2003-08-25 Thread James V. Bacus
Just last week on Monday, I was looking at going to Denver next week for the F3J team selections and my F3J quiver was reduced to broken parts. This is a terrible feeling, I had worked so hard to put some nice models together and practice with for the team selects and they all had been

[RCSE] Big servos on Ruddervators

IF you did the servo calc for ruddervators on a open class plane, you'll find that in a total sky'd out speed dive with a heavy 3m plane, you need about 11oz per rudder vator. The 225's have lots more than that and should last a long time...but what the heck better stout servos in the nose rather
