There is another school of thought that if you get away from the traditional airfoils and fly something that is designed for it, a 40 oz 3M is the way to go.  Just a slight scale up from the Bubble Dancers to the Aegeas.   Anybody got some info on how they fly at 5 oz/sq.ft?   Tom KoszutaWes

Yup. Based on emails I've received, many/most Ava flyers keep 5 to 8 oz. permanently in the plane. It's nice to have a light plane for landings if the wind has a low and consistent velocity, but there's not much advantage otherwise.
