Can someone explain to me why F3B Cross country has not been listed as

Kurt,
Yes you missed something. Those events are every other year event, off
set with F3J and I'm not sure what replaces XC.

I've decided to try some Klass Kote epoxy paint for some bagged wings. I'll
be applying the paint to the mylars prior to bagging. I have ordered some
#100 white epoxy, some #405 gloss catalyst and some reducer. Here are my
questions;
1) I would like some recommendations on spray equipment to use
It was a design set into motion over 2 years ago, by the then, LSF board ,the idea is that F3J is run at the Nats during the F3j team select year, and f3b run at the Nats during a F3B team select year, alternating each year.
The idea was to hopefully use them as team qualifiers, and to give each

On recommendation of Denny Maize, I got the following
touch-up spray gun from Harbor Freight:
Item # 86-7VGA
It's fully adjustable in spray pattern and paint volume output.
I notice that it's on sale right now for only $20.

Phil,
You will like the quality and durability of epoxy paint.
1) For light work with small paint quantities, a Paasche airbrush has been
more than adequate. If I was painting full wings instead of just tips and
small DLG pod molds, I would want something with a broader spray pattern and

If part of your plane is open rather than molded, and you want to use Monokote
for convenience and lightness, but want to match color with your epoxy paint
job, that is possible too. Apply and shrink the Monokote per normal, then mask
with ordinary masking tape and very lightly sand the Monokote

Jack, that is an excellent answer to the question posed.
((Can someone explain to me why F3B Cross country has not been listed as events for the 2005 NATs? Did I miss something? ))
TK,I think questions like the one Jackabove and his reply could be used on the LSF website like an infomercial.
Anyone heard from Tom Hoopes lately? Haven't been able to raise him for
a few weeks now...

Someone should jump on this for foam
cutting... The Astro 110D can be put into "test" mode (by holding down the
start button, and then turning on the power), if you then push the start button
one more time the charger becomes a variable Amperage power supply. Which
is really handy, since
Sean was going by 1/2 of CST advertised price. He has a very cheap
sourcefor blue foam. He's willing to beat any advertised
price.
What do you think the average current drain of a full house (six servo)
system is? The reason I ask is this: Saturday, I crashed the Slegers
Condor I've been flying for the last 5 or 6 years. I was coming in on
final approach, removed camber from the wing and the ship nosed straight
in.
What do you think the average current drain of a full house (six
servo) system is? (George Gillburg)
It varies depending on what the servo is doing. I measured some Hitec
ones and found that the current draw varied from less than 15mA when it
was idling to about 600mA when stalled. So your

FWIW on two of my full house moldies I have determined that the average
current drain is around 360 mA. A spike of 1300 tells me something is amiss.
The 368 should have an idle current of around 15 to 20 mA (so call it no
more than 120 mA for all 6).
For instance, in a 14 (big) digital servo
