Let's look at the Rx experiences of the lots of folks. Before we draw any
conclusions.
I think it was Don(?) who cited having problems with Berg, JR and Sombra
Rx's. These are pretty well proven units. Lots of guys are using them
successfully. Yet, Don had problems with each. This is a RED FLAG
I posted this reply to Douglas privately but perhaps it could bear repeating.
It could be the antenna. The only way to improve the situation is
to try different approaches. Antenna theory will not help.
It also may not be the antenna although changing the antenna
installation could improve
Errr...that was me, Bill. Maybe some of my clubmates in SASS or NWSS
will vouch for me, but I generally use the best equipment available
and do meticulous setups in my planes. My mechanicals are always
carefully done and top notch in terms of reliability. I check the TX

Regarding the Graphites in my previous message: The electric is on
an R770. The D-tube Graphite is on an R649.

Don't forget one other factor. Landings. Enough hard landings is enough
to damage any crystal, or even pop them out of an RX. Even and ex WC can
do that one.
