Well Barrett, how'd you like THAT speech? I agree GW was not shining in the
beginning. Indeed, I didn't think it possible for him to come across as genuine
and intelligent at all, ever. But even I have to admit THAT was a good speech.
Let's hope that this is a new and permanent side of GW we

This is so true. What we all too often forget at times like this is why we
are such a great country. Its because people are innocent until proven
guilty. People are free to walk in the streets and travel as they wish. It
is not the buildings they attacked today, it is our way of life.

Somehow I don't think 'turning the other cheek'
that several of you have suggested will have much effect when the religious

I'm a pilot. I spoke to my father who flew 767's for Delta on this subject. Our
consensus is that the skill required to fly a jetliner into a structure is
significant. The coordination required to fly two into different structures within
minutes is even greater.

Seems to me that there is a lot of sand in that area of the

I know there are a number of pilots on this list, I have a question.
On Larry King CNN, some expert said any trained monkey could fly
those jets to targets once in the cockpit. The flying looked fairly
precise to me, it would take some training to fly like that wouldn't
it?
