Hi everyone. My usual workflow is to recieve a REC709 live video to match
my cg elements from softimage (all good, I grade, compose, voilá). Editor
gets his material all colors are there for him to play.
This time, director and cameraman want to see their LOG C (raw quicktime

thanks Luc-Eric,
honestly, this all seems like a VERY important thing for me to
understand...(sets, groups, locators, hierarchy), but it seems difficult to
place these issues in analogous terms with Softimage, which to be frank, is how
I know 3d.
so i guess i just need to spend more time with
Is anyone else running Parallels and not had this issue? I'm still

I didn't have this issue, but as Nono said, boot into boot camp and install
from there instead of in parrallels. You'll likely need to run Soft from boot
camp sometimes anyway.( eg the stereo viewport shader seems to only work in
full windows due I think to it using the real graphic drivers,
Hi,
I'm just trying out Parallels and I'm now having problems installing Soft.
It says the operating system is unsupported, I'm assuming the installer
thinks I'm trying to install on the MacOS, but I'm running the installer
from within Windows. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks
Chris

Unfortunately I have Parallels installed and running Windows 7 already. One
suggestion is to isolate in the security settings Windows from the Mac OS,
but that didn't work.

I,ll blame You now. They read this, You know.
So when exactly did they start reading a Softimage related list?
I was under the impression, that part of our predicament was that they
actually hardly ever did...

Well, I just downloaded the Parallels Desktop trial, installed 64-bit
Windows 7 Pro, and right now the Softimage 2015 SP1 install is in
progress...
Is there any clue in the install logs in %TEMP% ? Usually the installer
writes out at least one Autodesk_Softimage log file.

That vimeo video looks fine, but I can't make sense of the quoted
forum discussion below.
The video is telling that you Maya always branch select, i.e. when
you pick a parent, the children are highlighted as well. So if you're
still modelling on the components, the whole branch will be enabled
emfluid5 is in beta since years? Holy cow :) I hope it will be officially
released soon. Nice work btw, Morten.

The main difference between parenting in Maya and Softimage is the
