I'm standing up a Spacewalk 2.2 server on CentOS 6.6 and the client server
that I am working is also CentOS 6.6.
I've made it all the way to registering the client to the Spacewalk server.
However, I get the following error:

I know that I was told that Solaris support will be dropped in future
releases, but I'm still moving forward with trying to make this version

I've figured out that solaris2mpm will work with individual patches, but
not on the Solaris Patch Cluster. So, my work around is to unzip the
cluster

subscription? Or, can a person get satellite subscriptions separate and use

As a work around, you can unzip the patch cluster, zip up the individual
patches and then run the solaris2mpm command on the individual zipped patches.
This is how I resolved this issue.

Yes, I know that SuSE is using Spacewalk as their upstream source. I had them
do a demo for me awhile back.
How difficult is it to compile SW from source? All of the documentation is for
Red Hat, CentOS and Fedora. Has anyone else compiled it from source? What

I moved my SW servers to RHEL 6.6. I registered this server with RH and synced
the RHEL 6 Server Base to a channel on my SW server.
I have test/demo RHEL 6.2 client setup, and I want to register this client to
the SW server. I'm following the documentation. I added the correct
repositories,
I'm not sure what was going on, but it appeared that yum was all mucked up.
After spend a few minutes trying to figure it out, I decided just to rebuild
the client. It was easier and quicker that way. I am now able to register
this server with my SW server.

I'm trying to get my SLES 11 SP3 client working with my SW 2.3 server.
The SW client registration procedures have the following steps:

production SW server. The signed certificate works fine in my dev/test
demonstration environment, but I just can't get it working in the production
environment.
My last email, I was able to get the cert to work ju

you did not explicitly specify an alternate name within the certificate.

basic groups, RHEL 6.5, RHEL 6.6, SLES SP3, SLES SP4 etc...Total count of
servers in SW is 72. However, I only see 70 that have been assigned to a
group.There must be an easy way to determine which servers was not as

For example, I downloaded a java 1.8, from Java and I want to add it to a

I registered a new server last week. I just noticed that it has not checked in
since it was initially registered. rhnsd is running, and I tried stop/starting
it and I don't see any errors in the logs.

That is the manual way of checking in to the spacewalk server (for all clients).
