Missed that one. Would you mind filing a bug on

If you have a Raspberry Pi ... how about installing pCP on it and using
that to install LMS as well?
Then you get a self-container configuration that is known to be complete
and working (elsewhere at least).
It is harder to patch things to include extra debugging but it would
help to (probably)

Just to confirm - you have use a full LMS install - not a minimal one
such as Unix tarball without CPAN libraries

So does LMS work correctly if cabled direct?

We can see from the old logs that data - headers at least - came back

Yes - so the next step whic as you suggets needs Wireshark - determine
1. Did a GET actually get sent to router ?

I restarted LMS via "service logitechmediaserver restart" and via "sudo

Not sure if this is the right thread, but it's related to LMS8.
If anyone is using Inguz EQ, and is upgrading to LMS8, you will probably

Surely this is a networking issue? Most likely hardware.
My money would be on something as mundane as a dodgy switch port as the
OP has said this occurs on both a Qnap and his Pi.
Have any basic network diagnostics been performed?

reason. The code has
Code:

Just looking further at this it seems to occur when the server is
restarted and Squeezelite-X is trying to reconnect to the server. If I
exit Squeezelite-X and restart the server then no problem occurs. Would
others concur?

Try this from the command line on the LMS system
Code:
wget -S --header="accept-encoding: gzip" --header="Accept-Language: de" -O
tmp.gz http://opml.radiotime.com/Index.aspx?pa
rtnerId=16
I get a 418 byte file (like your log indicates)

The headers arrived and looked ok (200).
The timeout came 30 seconds later (following the setting change) ...
perhaps implying that the body did not arrive or somehow got lost.
Perhaps an issue with the Cloudfare host that is being assigned to you
by TuneIn (radiotime) networking

Do NOT restart the server because those changes by default do not
persist. If you want them to

I asked a while back to try a fetch from the same machine ... which OP
did via wget and it was very quick.
So - assuming it was from the same machine as LMS is on - then perhaps a
small test program in Perl using same libraries as LMS would repeat the
issue.

The last shown case of timeout on the logs provided -
Start: 20-03-11 14:51:54.0283
End: 20-03-11 14:52:01.8096
The difference is maybe 8 secs ?
