Steve, as the BBC seems to be rather bone headed in this matter (you can

You can install LMS on your com puter and add the BBC iPlayer plugin,

Are you using the Windows folder "Music" to hold your files, this is the

Note to the OP @carlmart
If you uninstall LMS from Windows make sure you remove all the files and

Also, download a fresh .exe and right click on it and run as

It's best not to do too much stuff as root with the raspbery pi.
Sudo works fine and you can use sudo su for the odd time you may need

Just advice, as over on the raspberry forums thay discourage using root

Not all usb hubs are suitable for a raspberry pi.
You want one that does not backload the pi with power.
I don't think e-bay is a good source for pi unless it is a certified
reseller.
Maybe Pi-Hut or Pimoroni in the UK (Sheffield, I think). RS Components
and Farnell as well.

I have two suggestions:
First, install the EDO applet on the Squeezebox Touch and connect it to
the usb input on the amplifier.
This may work or it may not.
Second, consider a small form computer (rpi4b) install Squeezelite or
piCoreplayer and use the usb between the pi and amplifier.
