Hi Keith, and Torie, and all:
I rather doubt that it's reaching 150C, as well. The question is
though, whether 70C preheat combined with two tank (injecting hot oil
into a hot combustion chamber, and purging before shutdown), will make
the difference here, and many of us do feel it will red
Hello Keith and everyone,
Has anyone here received a permit from the BATF for fuel production of
ethanol, and what are the circumstances (residential? farm? commercial?)

Yes, I'm sure. If you got NO ethoxide ion, you'd get
no biodiesel. Ethanol will neither esterify nor trans-
esterify directly with oil, soap,
Keith,
I totally agree with you that the tests which Alex describe are unrealistic
and serves to kill bd's potential before it's realized for the benefit of
the few. It is sad to say but I believe politics is behind this or at least

Okay, I just re-read (for the second or third time, not sure which)
your tips on Ethyl Esters.

Thankyou Walt!
Thanks too for pointing out the downside of chlorination. ITo go back

I've lived in (many!) Amsterdam is the only one I can think of where
I didn't regularly get a strong whiff of chlorine off the tap water.

Hi Frank
Maybe we can help you? If you send me full specs of your Yamaha, and
as much information as you can about the seals you need to replace,
we might be able to get some help for you from Yamaha here in Japan.
No guarantees, but we can try. It's much more likely that the

Yes... but trials with diesels and ethanol in California
Hello all, I am new to the group. I am living in Northern Manitoba,
Canada where it does get cold in the winter. I recently purchased a
1987 Toyota Landcruiser with the 13BT engine in it. This is a turbo
charged 3.4 L diesel engine. I believed this would be a great engine to

Yes! Diesel (see Scania in Sweden) and non-diesel engines may be run
on ethanol. Unfortunately 100% ethanol is not a legal motor fuel

MM,
Thanks, it is very interesting. I had a lot of references and the pdf
evaluation document, but had a disk crash three weeks ago and lost it. Will
take time to build an info base again. Brazil, Germany and Sweden are very
interesting for anyone who deals with energy issues. As I understand
