I just received a scanned PDF document which I tested with Virtual View.
All I got in the recognized text was one line along with the "begin
image" and "end image" messages. Yet the document could be read in full
using the KNFB Reader iOS app on my iPhone 5s. For reasons of

Apparently it uses the TIF image filtering engine that comes with all
versions of Windows from XP to 10 however because of no official support
for XP as far as Window-Eyes and indeed this app is concerned it hasn't
been tested in-house.

Just an FYI, there are mainstream OCR programs as well such as Abbyy
Finereader and OmniPage. I know OpenBook was used as an example, but
just setting the record straight in case you think OCR is a blindie
thing when actually it isn't!

demo mode for a while and finally bought a license. I also have a Mac

I am getting ready to reinstall Window eyes after using the Window eyes
Emergency Removal Tool. The question I have remaining is whether or not I will
need to reinstall the Vocalizer voices I purchased. They were purchased and
