is pretty difficult to distinguish between highway=living_street
and higway=residential .
Can there be a different colour coding or this is to group residential
and living_street is a simmilar manner .

Yep, as others have commented there are two tables types in the osm
database; current tables, and history tables. The planet dumper
just reads current tables which is the fastest approach.

mache ich ein Rohr: Ich nehme ein Loch und mach Blech drumherum.. )
Zwei Flächen zusammenzusetzen um ein Loch zu bilden ist hier viel
zweckmässiger und wird von jeder Anwendung die mit Flächen arbeitet
automatisch

bei der Wahl des OSM / Wiki-Namens (Lübeck) habe ich nicht über die
Problematik mit den Umlauten nachgedacht.
Ist es, mit wenig Aufwand möglich für OSM und die WIKI den Namen zu
ändern (Luebeck) ???

Nein, kein Problem mit. Mich wundert nur immer, dass ich das Display
auch bei 95/100 Prozent Helligkeit zu dunkel

bei geoclub habe ich auch schon den hinweis bekommen bezgl. anderer geräte.
mir geht es um erfahrungen hinsichtich eines direkten reklamationsweges
zu garmin - der händler sagte mir, dass würde wochen dauern !

Manchmal klappt EGNOS, manchmal nicht. Ich habe es auch nicht immer
drin. Kannst Du vielleicht zwischen Integrity und Test umschalten?
ich kann lediglich zwischen den Möglichkeiten AUS/SBAS/Seriell wählen.

bei mir waren die Batterieklemmen korrodiert. Vermutlich hatte ich mal
schlechte Batterien verwendet. Garmin hat das Gerät getauscht.
Der Händler konnte mir aber nicht helfen. Habe einen Garantieauftrag direkt
bei Garmin persönlich stellen müssen in dem ich im Web einen Reperaturauftrag
