Regarding an upgraded quicksearch toolbar, what I'd most like to see is a
reg-ex toggle. Perhaps a view-mode drop down would also be a nice
addition.

You should be able to install 1.51 over the top of 1.49 without
any trouble what-so-ever. And, yes, your registration will remain
in force . . . I don't know of any "gotchas" to warn you about-
