the leap second was going to happen. Pretty lame coverage; only about 30
secs of the news. Lots of pictures of reference clocks in racks.

Data sheet for the Garmin GPS-18 has a section on leap seconds.It shows
that they repeat the 00 second rather than sending a second with 60.

In the netherlands the leap second will be on national television. I have
explaned the leap second for TV and Radio.
I have shown the leap second using the hp 5071A. This will be broadcast on
31-12-2005 on TV.
Only the HP sign has to be blank. It is nice that our national TV has thi
