My Touch is not showing Flickr nor Facebook pictures.
I have the Flickr applet as 'when stopped' screensaver, but when it
loads the applet and tries to show the pics, an error is shown:
"Could not retrieve imagefile. Check player's network connectivity"
I tried showing both my Flickr and Faceboo

yes it goes away once connected. Displays track names artist etc fine.
It is just on some set up scteens and when you can't connect.

If you look at the Swiss onlineshop in general you'll notice that most
devices appear to be out of stock, including the entire Squeezebox
range, not just the Touch. Might be a beneral stock issue?

Out of curiosity, when you previously compared the analog out of the SB3
vs Lavry, did you conduct the test the same way as the comparison of the
Lavry vs Touch? i.e. Level matched and with the ability to -instantly-
switch between the two.

Does anyone know if the touch supports musepac the same way the the
original squeezebox did via trans-coding using slim-server or is the

Got my SB Touch today (my thanks Logitech) and very nice it looks too.
At the moment, I believe it's scanning the attached USB drive (which
will be used as it's music source). I've got roughly 1100 CDs cut onto
the HD and was wondering how I check progress of the scan whilst it's

which should give you a progress report.
I think it will be slower if you are playing music whilst it scans but
see my post as I think I crashed mine byinstalling an applet (which
always reboots Squeezeplay devices like teh touch) mid-scan.

It depends on how you installed the existing Squeezebox Server on your
QNAP. The SB Touch requires SbS 7.5.0 or later. How did you install
SC/SBS on the QNAP originally? You may want to look at the QNAP threads
in the 3rd Party Hardware forum.

zoom out the display then realised it does it automatically when using
the remote :)

scanning my music files. There's no info about the number of tracks to
be scanned or how long.

cojones to run later versions did it.

I must say after some limited listening the sound from the stand alone
touch connected directly using analagoue into my amp;
exceeds my SB3 connected to my v-dac using coaxial and then feeding
analogue into my Arcam Amp.

Yes, your TS201 will not have enough "horsepower" to run muc
I'm hardly scared of the dark at all any more. I don't need a very
bright night light. Aside from the automatic dimming, any way I can dim
it even more? Or do I have to throw a cloth over this beauty at night?

If you have/had an SB3/Classic to compare, the screen is harder to read
at the same distance. Although the Digital Clock is huge and very
readable from a greater distance.
The photo viewer / slide show is ok if you are viewing from a few feet
away, anything beyond that and you will go bl
me either! :)

And your right, if you can directly switch between sources it's alway

What surprised me a wee bit was the similar sound quality between the
sb3 and the Touch via digital out.

Replacing a Controller that was used as a player.
The iPod Touch serves as a whole house remote. It also has replaced the
remote for my Roku.
I bet I never use the remote that came with the Touch...ever.

I've been pleasantly surprised at how readable the text is from a
distance. Biggest difficulty is that the Touch is far more reclined
than the SB3 so it's easier to read when I'm standing up than sitting
down. Perhaps it's time to put our Squeezeboxen on the bottom shelf of
