Unfortunately its in the C code so it will have to be in a future
firmware release. You can't just patch it with the Patch Installer.

I sent the squeezebox touch back.
They can't be serious that a simple HDD should take more than 9 hours
to be scaned! Im really disappointed about that.
If you want the touch as a stand alone player, just forget it!

As far as I know there are three different solutions for this:
1. Setup Now Playing screen saver and touch the now playing screen
until you get the screen with full size album art.

I think the problem was caused by two computers in my house with the
same I.P address. At the moment the problem seems to be sorted by
switching the router off and back on.

Theoretically yes, its called an ad hoc network, but there is no easy
way to set it up, it would take a linux networking guru and the
equivalent for the iPhone to do it.

Well I just got mine today, after the very LONG wait we've all had.
I can only say that the display itself is a big big disappointment one
two scores (I've only had the thing running for 20 minutes)
1. Size. The major visual difference of this unit is obviously, it's

things. I , on the other hand, love the touch and the screen is
adequate for my use. The functionality is superior and the angle is not
a problem for me(the estblished angle keeps the center of rotation lower

is a computer utility that bridges the SBS server program with
Spotify servers.
So without a computer running to run both SBS and DSBridge then you
won't get Spotify.

I am an audiophile on a budget, so I have opted for using Duet with an
external DAC (Beresford Caiman), instead of going with the much more
expensive Transport. Some reports claim that Beresford Caiman can match
(and even surpass) the DAC that Transport internally uses.

You might want to consider just getting a Touch.
The audiophile section folks say that its much better sounding than the
older SqueezeBoxen (like the Duet). It may be sufficient, without having
to spring for an external DAC.
And, of course, you can use the external DAC if you think its needed.

Thanks for posting the pics! I can't believe how much wasted space there
is in some of those Dash screens, especially the Now Playing screen.
Dash also doesn't have an infrared receiver, right? At first glance it
looks like it could be a great companion to a Squeezebox Receiver --
use the Dash
The Pandora app layout is bad. I have to believe it's because it was
designed for the Chumby and now it has too much space with the large
screen and different aspect ratio. I'd imagine they will create a new
one.
It did not come with a remote and I have not taken it apart to see if
there is IR.
I should mention that I did have hopes for the Dash to be a little more
open and only found it was closed after purchase.
