AFAIC, I tried v7.5.1 (official build) and I still have problems with certain 24/96 files when using TinySC. I re-encoded them with different compression levels, but that did not make any difference (of course these files play flawlessly when using the external server). See also : http://bugs.sli

All my 24/96 files play on the Touch without any problem. BUT only when scanning is successfully completed. As long as any scanning process is running, 24/96 files will not play without stuttering. This seems as intended to me: on my other server I also don't play music when (re)scanning is going

Looks like maybe it is using and trying to stretch out the AlbumArtSmall.jpg or AlbumArt_{6D2583BF-582C-4668-9AE5-2E29F8500FE7}_Small.jpg in each album's directory instead of the AlbumArt_{A2A5C5EA-FFCB-424D-9AE9-7F392C53BA53}_Large.jpg or cover.jpg. Not sure how I can fix this... I can't swallo

OK looks fine, the mp3 file has an embedded image so that will always be used and none of the image files in the directory will be used. The image looks fine to me, it came from Amazon and is the usual 600x600. The actual quality of the image kinda sucks but I guess that's how this album looks.

I know about the nightly builds but not sure how to update the SBS when it is on the Touch to see if 7.6.0 fixes this issue (the nightly builds etc appear to be windows installables). In the meantime, I stopped SBS on the Touch and am trying a wipe and rescan to see if that makes any difference..

Right. Is connecting the Touch to a computer a big deal? To get 7.6.0 firmware on the Touch you need to install Squeezebox Server 7.6.0 on a computer (with internet access) on your network. It will download new firmware from the 7.6 branch and you'll get an update notification on the Touch. -
