Cool -- the Touch is completely gone from Logitech Canada's site now.
What a great launch :)

Although the “clean cache folder” worked for the moment, the next time I
added an album to my library the problem came back. It would take
multiple tries of cache clean-up and clear library and rescans to get
the thumbnails to display correctly on my Touch. Now remember this
problem was just on

It's been added to the 7.6 beta, not to 7.5. But it isn't finished and
I'm not certain that it will ever work exactly like it did with the SB3
and older Squeezeboxes.

no longer an option, although I recall someone did patch or applet that
might allow this. Obviously, you can simply set at 100% which is

Aha, the 2706 is limited to 16 bits and will only handle 44.1 and 48.
The Touch outputs 24 bits from its internal stream. So in order to play
anything at all the underlying ALSA plug layer has to do some
conversions, at leas

correct. This is all up to Pandora doing something on their end to make
high bitrate available to SB users.

That is correct (like pounce said). Pandora have not yet provided
Logitech with the API needed for SBs to access the 192kbps Pandora One
stream.

PS: it works fine with Playlists; with every kind of lists I choose; but
as soon as I choos en album; where the tracks are in the right order
(i.e. 1-2-3-4...) SBT begins to fade in and out... ??

Fair enough. Maybe I should say there is zero probability of a comment
here affecting logitech support and the probability at the other site
is non-zero

I've just found time to have a look at this but can not find any files
with extension .m3u or .pls.
This may be a dumb question but what sort of short cut am I looking
for? The odd thing is that it is only about 1% of albums that have
duplicated tracks in them with the dual path to the _same_albu

Okey they have seriously downplayed the marketing re the USB port .
I should have checked it out sooner.
Quote from the site:
"
USB port and SD card slot
You can access music and pictures stored on flash drives and memory
cards.

Thats all it says nowadays, thats very very good move of them .

Have you expressed this on the official forum ? or contacted support ?
Can be known issues with your combo of files drives and tags etc.

Mnyb, I'm glad you're not having any issues and, yes, I could quite
easily set up a small server and probably not have a problem. It's not
a particularly elegant solution though as I coughed up cash in order
not to have to have an external server running. Why should I now fork
out more money just

The 2902 is one of the lower quality USB chips around. Its not THE worst
but its not great. For you there is very little reason to assume the USB
would be better.

The server does not need to be on 24/7/365 . You don listen to music

let it hibernate and use WOL or turn it off completely and boot the

I bought the touch for the same reason: I did not want a PC 24/24
working just to listen music.
Touch was the first model with USB capability.
I have 1Tb WD My book self powered with about 1000 cds (great mix of
flac, mp3, aac,...). I also left my documents and photos on the drive.
