Hi everybody, I'm having this problem since yesterday, and wondering if someone else exeperienced it, too. I didn't make any change in configuration, except adding some new songs. I'm runing the tiny server with a WD attached via usb. Since yesterday, apparently without any particular reason,

What is the file format ? use FLAC or mp3 for most likely success . Maybe the dB got screwed a complete rescan of the files maybe . You can even delete the hidden squeeze something folder on the harddrive and start all over ? -- Mnyb

all mp3 the screwed up database may be an explanation, although I had just made the complete rescan a day before. The only strange thing I did was to enable/disable the shuffle... Anyway, now I made a factory reset, and I'm waiting for the full rescan to end, and then I'll make some tests.

Try to use random song function instead of shuffle ? I had problems with using shuffle on large playlist, dont shuffle more than one album (on the internal server). The internal server is limited to pl of 100 songs in size but i doybt it can shuffle them tryt his press shuffle rapidly 3-4 time

usually takes a long time to answer (to change the icon). Unfortunately random songs function doesn't allow you to choose wich artist or album to play. The only option you have is on genre, but, again, I have a library of 7500 songs, with more than 300 genres. Even selecting select all or

Thats why I'm usingmy own server 2500 albums mostly in flac . And then I use Erlands Dynamic playlist plugin . It can play random -from- a predefined playlist , I have party playlist and elctro playlist really huge ones that this plugin picks from. It also have dozens of other options:

is it not soo (sadly enough) that the western digital usb powered drives is the most finicky to actually use with Touch some weird powersaving that kicks in and the server unexpectedly stops etc . A thing to consider is that most USB powered drives breaks the spec ,but are very ambigues about it
