[SlimDevices: Touch] Where does Touch store server.log ?

2011-07-10 Thread bluegaspode
Hi there, I have a user reporting crashes of his Touch, but he cannot find the server.log, to see if there's any interesting message in there. He's running the Touch with TinySC activated from a SDCard. I always thought that the logs would be saved there, aren't they? Where does he needs to

Ok John, thanks for the reply. I didn't realise you had already tried the updated driver. Even so, do you think there would be any benefit in me trying it here? Just clinging on to the last bit of hope that maybe my DAC would give a different result to your own one. Other than that, I guess I

Thank you...it seems to be a minimal difference at best on my equipment. Would I need a digital connection to take advantage of the high res audio capabilities of the touch? -- Sinkdrain Sinkdrain's Profile:

Hi Michael, thanks for the help. Is there any 'easy' way to obtain the logs (does your support ever need those logs?) or is SSH/SCP the only way to retrieve them? Furthermore I'm wondering if after a crash it would be useless to retrieve the logs anyway, due to this (rather old and maybe

[SlimDevices: Touch] ALBUMARTIST on TinySB - no tracks in album

2011-07-10 Thread onocentaur
I'm using the Squeezebox server built into the Touch with an external USB HD. I have a strange issue with the ALBUMARTIST, one that I haven't seen in any searches yet. I only have a few albums tagged with the ALBUMARTIST tag, in almost every case where the actual artists name is a pseudonym.

Hi LJG I am in a similar position to you. The posts that your entry follows are quite old and I suspect that the market is changing very rapidly. Not long ago a NAS seemed to be a mini-server and cost a couple of limbs - without a hard-disk installed! More recently, it looks to me as though
